Pula: History & Local Life
From the Roman arena to the shipyard cranes, on foot, in under two hours.
Free
Free to join. At the end you pay what you thought it was worth, in cash. Most people land somewhere between 15 and 50 euros a person.
We walk the main historical sights and talk about how Pula went from a Roman colony to an Austro-Hungarian naval port to a shipyard town to whatever it is now. Some of it is what you came to see. Some of it you would have walked straight past.
The tour runs in any weather. There is no bad weather, only the wrong jacket. Bring water in summer, it gets hot.

Reviews
There were only 4 of us in the tour. Mihael is very knowledgeable and didactic. The tour took almost 2 hours and time flew! I'd definitely recommend him if you want to know all about Pula.
Very good walking tour! Pula has a lot of different histories and Mihael did a great job of showing us different architecture and sights from across the various eras. This was a good balance of walking and talking, lasting 2 hours. It ended at a park hosting a wine festival, which I highly recommend. Mihael also shared recommendations for food and beaches afterward, very helpful.
Mihael is a nice and lovely person, who is also really likeable as a guide. He helped us with all sorts of questions about the city, good places to eat and cool places to visit. If you want a professional guide with great and extended knowledge about Pula and the surrounding area, you should choose Mihael!
Nice and friendly guide, big recommend to take his tour.
